      Entretien

My interview process was not standard. I had a friend recommend me for employment to management and they trusted her word. My interview was more of a formality and to just give me an idea of what I had in store for me. The interviewer also advised me of when my likely schedule would fall during the week, and how many hours I could expect to work. She also told me when I would probably begin transitioning into another department to finish out my seasonal time.

Phone interview with someone in human resources, then an onsite interview 4 days later. Most of the questions were the usual "interview" questions to be expected, with several behavioral style questions as well.

I saw a posting for the position of temporary part or full time bookkeeper on the college website where I attend school. I emailed the supervisor, then forgot all about it. I got a cal about 3 weeks later asking if I was still interested in the position and if so when could I come in for an interview. I asked her when would be convenient for her. I always try to make it as convenient as possible for the interviewer so I am not an afterthought and they will have a better chance of not having other things on their minds. I met with the two managers of the bookkeeping department a few days after the phone call. We met for about 25 minutes total. They asked me about school and my future plans. I brought them a resume in case they didn't get the one from the email. We talked about past experience, etc. They were very easy to talk to and to understand. They explained what they were looking for. We talked about what hours I was available to work. They basically looked at each other and nodded and offered me the position. I then talked to another lady who set me up on a computer to take somewhat of a skills test/personality test. Then they set me up with a password for their system. Once I got home, I was emailed an application for the main company(this was just a branch) that I had to fill out online and send to them electronically. Then I had to print out a paper, sign it and bring it back to them so they could check references, credit, etc. They did not do this while I was there. I started work there the following Wednesday.
