Because it was during the end of lockdown, I did part of my interview remotely and was invited to the location for a second in person interview afterwards. The person who interviewed me and was also one of my managers was very down to earth and because of that the interview felt more like they were actually attempting to get to know me better as a person and of course any relevant skills from previous jobs. There was also a survey taken online that was clearly to see how I would handle situations in the workplace relevant to my position. Similar questions were asked in person. Overall, the interview process was very similar to other interview and job application processes I’ve experienced in the past. The only thing that made it better or different was the personality of the manager who interviewed and mostly worked with me during training. They made it feel less bureaucratic, or mechanical, for lack of better words by being professional but also being their genuine selves and allowing me to feel that I could be my genuine self while with them and with the other employees. Hopefully if you apply to any h&m position you get someone like that. Otherwise the application and interview process will feel like every other retail application process and not be very motivating as far as wanting to really work for a place vs needing a job but discovering the environment where you’re applying is actually one that you enjoy and feel comfortable in.

Great process and team, connecting with everyone felt very easy. I had some behavioral questions and some about my experience. Ultimately they decided to move forward with someone else. I would recommend giving it a try.
Very easy interview with one other person who applied. Asked about how you might handle a difficult customer, who you are, etc. Second interview was basically just the job offer and signing papers.

Question 1
How would you handle a difficult customer? What is one thing you noticed in our store that you would improve?
It's a group interview and in mine there were x4 other people. We introduced ourselves and got split into teams to complete a task on their values. Then we were split into different teams and were given a hypothetical customer who wanted help with their outfit - we had to create an outfit accordingly therefore roamed around the store to find clothing items that fit the brief. Afterwards, we explained why we chose those clothes and then were asked x2 competency-based questions.
