You get 2 rounds of interviews. One group interview and one 1 on 1 interview with the manager. In the group interview, you and 10-15 other people are given 3 sheets of paper and a random H-E-B brand product. On the first part of the interview, you are asked to flip a small sheet of paper that has 5 questions on it, most of them are easy, its just asking basic scenario questions and asking about yourself. You will be writing on a big sheet of paper those answers and then you everyone will take turns standing up and reading them out loud. For the 2nd part of the group interview, you will get into groups of 3-4 people in the room and use the heb brand items and make like a IRL commercial/ meal deal for the interviewers. Just pay attention and work together with your people in your group, and also try to market the items like if you would see it on tv. The final part of the group interview, is where you flip over the last sheet of paper and its a response to a prompt scenario. Basically the question will be something like " You are on your break and you go to the restrooms and its messy, what do you do?". You have to respond to the prompt like its your responsibility and think about the company when you respond back. For the one on one interview, its just basic interview questions, availability and going over the job role. The interview takes max like 20 minutes, and as long as you look engaged and ask questions about the role, you are going to get the job. Make sure you sprinkle in stuff about hospitality, "heart for people' and stuff about H-E-B history or anything about their newsroom as it shows you researched the company and feel like you want to be here.

Online application followed by a phone interview with about five questions, group interview with other applicants with another five questions read aloud , and then a one on one interview.

big group, easy questions, learned a lot about the company and its values, and we had fun. We were also told not to be nervous and to be ourselves. I interviewed with 12 other people.
