I was referred by a friend and the hiring manager reached out to me the same day for a phone chat. We talked for about 30 minutes and he requested that I apply that night online. He also sent me some take home questions. I pulled an all nighter and answered the questions that same day. My advice is to be thorough, do your research, and do your best work. They place a lot of weight on the take home exercises and it can be a make or break on if you get an in person interview or not. They give you a week to complete them but your response time says a lot about the future employee that you will be. The next step was an in person interview where I met with 4 different people. They made me feel special, valued, and it was the best interview experience that I have ever had. Be prepared so that you can have the conversation style interview that they want!
