      Entretien

The interview process was fairly straightforward. I initially decided to interview after speaking with a recruiter and especially about their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts, which they were incredibly honest with me and expressed interest in me aiding internally with their DEI efforts on the employee side (more on that in a bit). First connected with a recruiter which set me up with one day to speak with multiple teams across multiple offices which were where the problems first came up. During the interview day which consisted of ~3 hours of interviews across different teams, I was asked repeatedly the exact same questions, which was fairly boring after being asked for the sixth time how did you hear about the company and why do you want the role. In the middle of the interviews I was doing, I was suddenly pinged an email from the recruiter saying one of the interviews was canceled but the individual I was interviewing with instructed me to stay in that room so that the next person could come to speak with me. After 15 mins, I receive a message from the recruiter again confused on why I didn't move onto the next room when I was told something completely different by the interviewer, which resulted in me being late to my final interview and not feeling 100% ready. Back onto the issue of DEI, I was incredibly happy that the recruiter was honest with them needing work but after interviewing it was clear that they need a TON of work, I had the opportunity to interview with 8+ individuals across multiple teams with offices across the United States and every single last one of the interviewers was White and especially when I spoke upon my experience within DEI they merely shrugged it aside. Overall, I would say be sure this is 100% what you want to do and you fit the culture that they have already set in place. Otherwise, honestly don't even bother you will only waste your time.
