      Entretien

      Everything about the interview process was incredibly easy with Gryphon. All of the employees I spoke with, right down to the receptionist when I was there in person, were terrific. I think part of this pleasant experience was due to the fact that (as of this writing) Gryphon does not have a standard HR department. Being that they're a small office, they explained that while they have managers who oversee HR duties, they do not have a department for it. This gave me some pause, but the interview process was much better for it. Instead of the usual stock questions that many HR reps will ask during interviews, each interview I had was far more conversational than a typical interview with the usual kinds of questions about employment history. The sense of "realness," if you will, in speaking with Gryphon's team cannot be understated. It felt like we were skipping the BS of a typical interview and getting to know each other as workers and potential colleagues, and I feel like I really learned a lot more about the actual job this way. We were able to get down to the nitty-gritty of what the job entails, by the employees who actually perform those tasks, rather than talking with HR who may or may not have worked in those roles. Sadly, I didn't get an offer. Though I wish they had chosen me as their next Help Desk Rep, this interview experience was so positive that I am thankful to have had the opportunity just to see how they did things. I gained a lot of confidence through this interview, which is saying a lot considering that I didn't get the job.

      Question 1

      Again, the interview was more like a conversation. I can't really recall any specific questions, but there were no curveballs, no trick questions, no "test" questions. Easily the most comfortable interviews I've ever had.
