Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Groupon (Palo Alto, CA) en mars 2012
Entretien
I was emailed by a technical recruiter from Groupon via LinkedIn. I then had an hour long chat with their Director of Product Recruitment. She was mostly updating me on what Groupon's next year's goals were and about 15 minutes of questions about me. She was very cheerful and pleasant to speak with on the phone. After a few days I got another email to have another phone interview with the Director of Product for mobile. The interviewer was quick and dove right into the questions. Things like describe yourself as three adjectives and why, what's a product you admire, etc. The interview went well, though after one answer (How would you define success of the Groupon daily deal?) the interviewer said the interview was over, if I had questions for him. Bam, 20 minutes over. Never heard from them again.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 10 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Groupon (Mountain View, CA) en févr. 2012
Entretien
I submitted online and after a few months, a "recruiter" contacted me via e-mail to schedule a phone interview with the hiring manager. It was scheduled and the morning of, he e-mailed to tell me it needed to be rescheduled for the next day at a particular time. I agreed and was available, but the call never came. After waiting 90 minutes, I contacted the recruiter to let him know it didn't happen. He was apologetic and said he'd find out what happened and reschedule. After a week of waiting, I contacted him again and never received a response.
The whole experience was very unprofessional from the start. Working with people who don't exercise common courtesy is quite undesirable, so I'm not disappointed it didn't come to anything.
Incidentally, I was not a Groupon user at the time, but I signed up to try out the mobile app and the service. On Android, the app was awful and when I tried to use it for my deal at dinner, it just displayed a white screen. The waiter took my word for it and gave me the deal anyway.
