Had a phone interview with the recruiter and was told I'd hear by the end of the week. When I didn't, I checked in and was told the hiring manager was on vacation for 2 weeks. I waited and didn't hear back again so I followed up and was told I'd hear back the end of that week. I didn't hear back then got a generic rejection email the following Monday. When I asked what happened, I was just told the hiring manager moved forward with another candidate. I had waited 3 weeks and had to follow up multiple times.
