      Extremely extensive interview process. 5 total interviews with a written assignment. I didn’t get the role because I wasn’t excited or passionate about the company somehow. I was told that I had strong written and verbal communication skills and that I am adaptable. Isn’t that what you would want in an SDR? Seems like they hire off personality and not work ethic. If you do apply, really fake how excited you are and maybe you’ll have a better chance than I did. I was genuine and that doesn’t cut it here.

      Thank you for your response. At the start of every search, our hiring teams define the attributes they deem necessary for success in a given role. This can include a variety of qualifications, technical skills, and interpersonal skills ranging from strong written and verbal communication skills to passion and motivation for a career in sales. While do our best to be as structured and thorough as possible, interviews can be imperfect. So, there may be attributes that we didn't see that you actually have. If that's the case, I hope the feedback shared with you is still helpful so that you can use it to amplify those skills in future interviews. In the meantime, we’ll be sure to share your feedback with our team here to encourage them to set more clearly defined expectations with candidates on what we are hoping candidates showcase across their conversations.       Horrible experience. Manager had no personality at all, and asked way too many interrogative questions. The questions clearly seemed to be AI/ not organic, and it was obvious that the manager was reading from a script. She moved me to the next round. Then came the part that everyone seems to have issues with. Had to submit an assignment, which took hours and was essentially free labor. My assignment was done very well. I followed up multiple times to ultimately be rejected. All this to say, this role 2-3 steps down from my past experience, with very very pay for this position. I was way overqualified, yet my assignment wasn't good enough? Makes 0 sense at all, and I did free labor essentially. "

      I applied online via a LinkedIn post. A lot of questions are asked in the application. Maybe 5ish or so. A month after I applied I got an email pretty much saying they are interested in me and they had me do an assignment. Mind you I had not spoken to anyone at this point, not even a recruiter. I do the assignment, and maybe a week or so later I get an email telling me they want me to meet with a hiring manager. I had that interview and the cameras were off. After that I was moved on to next steps where I met with another manager this time the cameras were on. That manager seems maybe burnt out? Just reading off questions. After that I was moved on to next steps where met with another person. She appeared to be rolling with the flow of the interview process and would not stop yawning. After that final interview I spoke with a recruiter. Who asked me about what I thought of the process. The process overall was about a month long. Only to be rejected. I feel like AI has taken over the human approach with this company, something is lacking for sure. Not just that, but they really lean into their “fairness” thing a bit much. When I asked about salary apprently it’s a base flat salary across the board it doesn’t matter if you live in the SF Bay Area in California where coast of living is super high or if you live in the middle of nowhere where Nebraska. Everyone gets paid the same.

Our multi-step interview process is designed to ensure we get a comprehensive view of a candidate's skills and to give them a real sense of what it's like to work at Greenhouse. Regarding our compensation philosophy, we have a standardized pay structure for all sales roles, which takes into account a variety of factors, including market data from high-cost-of-living areas.
