The team's questions were all thoughtful, but none were hard to answer. Most questions were behavioral, scenario-based questions that were approachable and well-explained. Everyone I interviewed with was lovely, personable, and happy to answer questions. Throughout the process, interviewers went out of their way to make sure I knew that I could take breaks or time to consider their questions if I needed to. For me, there were 2 exercises in the process. One was a 1-2 hour "take home" project and the other was a 10 minute skill test during one of the interviews.

The hiring process was great! I’ve never experienced anything like it. It was a long process, but they are committed to finding the right candidate that will add to their culture rather than just fit into the culture. The interview process includes 4 stages as mentioned in other reviews - phone screening, take home exercise, 3 hour interview, and then an interview with a Senior Manager. In the three hour interview, it’ll involve another small short case study, some situational questions, a culture add portion, your experience with teams and stakeholders, and then your overall work style. Be sure to take some time to familiarize yourself with what they do and who they are as a company. In addition, they are committed in providing a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce. This is a huge part of Greenhouse! I would take some time to ask yourself why DEI is important to you.
