A friend referred me for a Administrative Business Partner position. HR emailed me the same day to schedule 2 interviews for the following week. One was for the Google Fit Interview and the other was for the Role Requirements Interview. I had the first interview via phone and it was the Google Fit Interview. It was quite strange, even though I had been prepared for strange. I was asked a bunch of questions to see how I'd solve problems. The questions gradually get harder and on the final question, after each response the interviewer would keep adding more obstacles for you to solve. There was also a lot of long pauses while I listened to the interviewer furiously typing and I was asked to just wait until he'd finish his notes (slightly awkward!). After the interview, about an hour later I got a call from the recruiter cancelling my second interview for the 'Role Requirements' as it was 'scheduled in error' and they will be in touch with me about an outcome next week. I knew right then and there that I didn't pass the Google fit interview. And surprise surprise, a week later as promised I got an email saying that they had a lot of applicants apply for the position with skills better suited to the role.
