I got an interview from Google for a software tester position. The interviewer was from the Californian site. We had a Skype interview scheduled. They decided a late night time. She called me at '10 pm' on the phone. The moment I picked up the phone she asked "Can I speak to ---" then she asked, "What's your Skype id?" I was like wow! We've never spoken before, because the interview was arranged through a staffing agency. When we Skyped, she just said her name and asked me to say a little bit about myself. No formal introduction, no greetings ,nothing. I was expecting her to turn the video on, but she didn't. Instead she insisted for me to turn the video on at all time. I feel like I was talking to the monitor all that 30 minutes. The way she asked questions were all like school questions, like "What is" direct questions. The questions were very basics though. This was the worst interview experience I've ever had. I had gone to a couple of great companies, like Amazon and they all make the candidate feel very comfortable for the first 5,6 minutes, like a good introductions, asking general things and then they start asking interview questions. As all of you know, obviously we are all nervous during the interview. So getting comfortable is a huge thing for a candidate to be able to perform well. I was not expecting this from such a well known company in the world!! I think she should google or ask Cortana "how to do an interview"before shes doing one!
