J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Glasgow Life (Glasgow, Écosse) en avr. 2025

      Entretien

The online application questions are repetitive and do not change from post to post. As someone who regularly interviews, I think these questions don't allow an opportunity for Glasgow Life to learn as much as they could about candidates pre interview. For the interview, I was required to produce a presentation and send it on in advance. I did so and received an out of office response over the holiday weekend (which was no problem at all) however, I then received a late night follow up, where my name was wrong in the response. This didn't leave a good impression regarding attention to detail or with regards to company culture. On the day of the interview the panel seemed unenthusiastic and a little bored during my presentation. I was nervous and knew I was not performing at my best, I asked on several occasions if I could offer more clarity in my answers and if I was meeting all of the points they were looking for - as I was sure I wasn't. I received good feedback and assurances on this throughout the interview and no follow up/ probing questions. I was not offered the job, which I was anticipating - it certainly wasn't a great performance from me. The email to let me know this gave a name of someone that was not on the interview panel and no contact details for follow up. I reached out and received feedback that wasn't very constructive 'You hit a lot of the touch points we'd expect to see in the presentation, but in the presentation, it didn't come alive.' Ultimately I agree with the decision that I should not have been offered the job but regardless of my poor performance, I feel the whole process was poor. The interviewers on the whole seemed bored and uninterested and struggled to answer a few of my questions about the team culture, struggles and what they were doing to support the team.

The noted some feedback they had on a recent policy and asked me how I would help to address that feedback.
