I had an phone screening with a recruiter 3-4 weeks after I applied. He was very polite and accommodating. However, when discussing my experience mentioned it turned out that it was crucial for the role to have coding experience in Python though it was not mentioned in the job description at all. The recruiter was very transparent about the lack of this expertise being a blocker which I appreciated but if so it definitely should have been mentioned in the JD.
