I received an email from the hiring team that they were very impressed with my back ground (uploaded my CV) and if we could set up a (video conf.) call. I was thrilled to receive such an energetic email. The interview as with the recruiter at HQ in SF, I'm located in the Netherlands. Due to technical issues.. installing the plugin on my laptop went wrong, we only had 5 minutes left for the interview. I should have asked to reschedule the call, (what can you tell in 5 minutes if you know the recruiter is in a rush?) Instead, I answered the questions...... It is a bit weird that the recruiter did not mentioned it herself to reschedule the call. How focused can you be if you need to drop off in 5 minuted? This was the shorted interview I have ever experienced. They've decided to move on with another candidate. And I still wonder how I should have interpreted the email that they were very impressed?? A bizarre experience and a bit unprofessional to not have rescheduled the call.

Question 1
Why do you want to move from a corporate company to a smaller company?
Why did you apply for the role of Customer Success Manager

4 touches total. Clear next steps. Moves very fast with little to no flexibility on scheduling within their 2-week window, so availability from when they first reach out is key.
It's evident that there's a good culture then and they're trying to flex and respond to the AI / Copilot market. Great interviewers and questions, but it's clear that all the interviewers have some type of strict rubric to fill out for very specific questions-- meanwhile, recruiter only shares general "themes" of the question types. This resulted in a weird type of game: "can you read my mind/the rubric that you can't see on my screen," so I advise to keep your STAR stories short and concise and specific on KPIs (money, time, titles) and leave them room to ask follow-up questions.

The recruiter I've met with for the screening interview was the indifferent person I have ever met in an HR function. I was invited to meet with the line manager, she was really nice and I was invited to complete a writing exercise. I handed in my exercise in time and never heard from them again. I've emailed the recruiter twice and didn't receive an answer. After all, I wouldn't want to be part of a company that treats potential employees that way!

Question 1
How to handle difficult situations with customers.
The communication between the recruiter was horrible. They were very disorganized throughout the process. I wouldn't get an update for a week and I had to reach out for more information.
