The interview process was sloppy from the beginning. The recruiter was a no-show for my first interview. The issue was that he had time zones wrong. The kicker was he didn't realize this until the next day. So, I believe it was something else.
The second stage of the interview process was 2 weeks after the first interview due to the hiring manager being out of the office on vacation. I was okay with that as we all need a break, at times.
Once I interviewed with the hiring manager it went very well, so I thought. He was impressed with my background and he said I'll have the recruiter move you to next stage.
After a week of no follow-up from the recruiter I reached out for feedback, and or, next steps. A day later I was sent a boilerplate email that I didn't get the role due to not having enough "managed media" experience.
Having worked at 3 agencies myself since 2008 and a total of 12 years of managing media it didn't make sense to me.
I believe that Gimbal has a great product/service, but the interview process, poor communication, and reason for not hiring should be improved upon.
