Interview panel including employees from different organizations within the college. Employees included human resources, finance, accounting, programs, information technology. Interview included tour of facility and campus, meeting with other contacts across the college, and opportunity to ask questions.

Disjointed. It was unclear what the process was, who was responsible or when decisions would be made. People were all friendly and accommodating but the process seemed poorly planned.

Hiring decision is made by the department / unit; the HR office really just handles the paperwork. They might weed out applicants who don't meet the minimum requirements, but if you get past that, then the people you will be working with are the ones who make the final decision.
