Was invited to a zoom interview which was actually a panel interview! The committee did not appear to have read my resume because the chair gave me an "introduction" to Mason (I'm an alum). I was surprised when I was contacted initially I wasn't informed my first interview would be with four people on a committee.
I was then invited to participate in: 1 meeting with an unrelated supervisor, 1 meeting with the actual supervisor, 1 meeting with the department's staff, an "editing exercise" and another interview with the same committee. Oh and I had to give a presentation to "various stakeholders across campus" which felt to me like free consultation for the University.
I'm selecting "Very Difficult" for the interviews--because I had five interviews and a presentation for an AD job at a University! (This is not Apple!) I had to put in so much work over two days (interviews were back to back)--which did not even result in a final decision from GMU.
That's right, they never sent me a final decision after all of the work I put in (as well as giving them free ideas on how to shore up a specific pool for their diversity goals). Found out they hired someone with way less experience through LinkedIn. Why would you treat a finalist for a job like that?

Question 1
General questions with no specifics related to my resume or skills. One person in the committee actually left the interview early, which was pretty insulting. They were definitely keen on finding out about how I met successes at my current job and again, felt like they were seeking out free consultation. Just all around incredibly disappointing!
