I applied online and was contacted by a recruiting manager about two weeks later. I had an initial phone interview with an engineering manager, then was contacted to complete online assessments prior to a second interview with other engineering leaders. The whole process was very efficient. I didn't run into any issues.
Only have the 30 minutes to answer their questions so it’s important to stay on track and quickly get to the point. Long drawn out explanations will leave you will no time to ask questions yourself.

Phone interview was scheduled via email. Phone interview was with Systems Engineering Manager. She was very personable and engaging. Format was more of a conversation as it was easy going and fluid. There was opportunity to ask lots of questions regarding the position and General Mills. There was an allotted 30-minute time slot but it lasted more like 45-50 minutes. Various behavioral questions. Encouraged to answer in STAR format. Was told that it could be +/- 2 weeks before I may find out if passed the phone interview step. The next business day I received a phone call saying I had passed and to schedule the on-site interview. Before the on-site interview I was emailed instructions on how to take three online tests. The online tests were a Personality Inventory Test, Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory Test, and a Deductive Reasoning Assessment (timed); these tests were to be completed before the on-site interview. Checked in for the on-site interview at 7:45am. Had an hour and a half tour of the facilities guided by a System Engineer. Found this to be extremely helpful as it gave great context for the job position and answered many questions from a person who knows the job and system well. After the tour had three 1 on 1 interviews, one right after the other. Typical interview questions where was asked to give examples of how I had performed under specific situations or to give examples of processes that I implemented. Interviewers were cordial, professional, gave me a significant portion of their time, and their undivided attention. Ample opportunity to ask questions. After the third interview, was taken to a nice lunch with two people I had not talked to before. It was a great opportunity to dialog back and forth from yet another perspective. After lunch had a brief wrap up meeting and was out at about 1:30pm. This interview took a better part of the day, was well organized as none of my time was wasted, I was invested into as received direct 1 on 1 time, and it was very informative to me. I was able to glean a great deal of the details of the position, relationship of that position with the other team members, and the superb team community that they have. From the moment I entered the door to when I left for the day I was greeted with professionals who completely believe in General Mills and the team that they are working with. It is obvious that people are highly valued and they are committed to investing into their people.
