Typical process: phone screen with recruiter which followed, a day after, by a call to schedule a face-to-face. I met with 5 people including the hiring manager and several VPs.
Two weeks later an offer came down the pipes: 50cents/hour above the minimum figure on the salary scale for the position. (I discussed this with the recruiter during the initial interview.) I countered with what I thought was a modest number, also within their range. It took them four days to decide, they declined. Luckily I had two offers on the table and, even though it expired, I was able to salvage the other offer last minute.
Read the reviews on here: they don't entertain counter offers, they don't play ball. As long as that happens, GA will end up with bottom-shelf talent. "You're worth more than the bottom dollar" is something I wish I learned earlier in my career.
