      Prepare for a long day, and lots of face to face role play. My day started at 8am, and ended at 2pm. Bring a small snack/energy bar, because in my case, I was not offered lunch. I started with a computer evaluation, wearing a headset, listening to audio of customers asking questions and having to respond "on screen." The next evaluation was a typing test where you follow and type text from above into a screen below. Next was a face to face interview, that led to a 12 page study packet for the telephone role play. 20 minutes were given to study the information packet, with very specific instructions to start all calls with a greeting, and then opportunities to upsell insurance products. The role play was challenging, as you handle "live" customers (a GEICO call center supervisor in another room calling) and each one has information points that you need to address...insurance questions, policy specifics, and one angry customer. Following the role play I was taken out to the call center floor to connect in and listen to real customers calling in to the floor agents. If you are considering this job, this is a powerful insight into your day to day/actual job duties. Pay attention! I was there for about 15 minutes when another interviewer from the manager training program took me back to the interview room for another 45 minute in depth Q&A session. There are constant inquires about how you respond to criticism, training environments, and professional development. Again, these all came to fruition in the day to day training environment...pay attention. The interview wrapped up and I was left alone for about 10 minutes, when the management trainer came back and offered me the job. The process is all done with very specific purpose, as GEICO is a very thorough employer. They select the best very carefully, and they pull no punches. Once you are hired, following a very thorough drug test (hair sample folks, no fooling this one) and in depth background check (because you will become a licensed agent, and all state insurance boards will review your licensing information) you will move onto GEICO 101, another step in the excellent orientation process. GEICO is an excellent company, and when you complete the interview process and are accepted/offered a job, it is an accomplishment. It is a very secure environment to work in, and I enjoyed the interaction with all of my GEICO peers.

      There are two rounds. The first round is virtual and they ask about your background and if you can handle the process. For the second-round, You will shadow someone for 20 minutes then proceed for a 40 minute interview. There are a lot of situational questions.

      You first fill out an assessment test. The assessment test isn't difficult; there are a few parts to it. First is the reading tables section. It asks you a question about the table and based on that you pick one of the four answers. This part is timed so you want to pace yourself a little bit. The other part is picking the statement that describes you the best, then the second-best statement out of three statements. Overall, this did not take long.

      Straight forward. There are 2 interviews, must pass 1st to get 2nd. 2nd interview is more detailed and is on site. 1st interview is via zoom. 2nd interview about 45 minutes to an hour
