      Entretien

The interview process is quite a long one. First, you do a series of recorded answers to some standard interview questions in their online portal. You get 2 or 3 attempts to re-record answers if you didn't like your answers, but after you begin recording a new answer you can't go back. These are very basic STAR-like questions about prior experience and soft skills, etc. The next phase involves a role-play situation (mine lasted almost 3 hours). You are given some time at the beginning to review made-up policies and documents related to 3 different client insurance claims. You should pay attention to details here and take notes if possible. Since my interview was virtual, the interviewer shared control of her desktop and I was able to view the materials for that time. After the time is up, you go through about 3 different scenarios in which you interact with an insured client, a repair shop staff person, and a third (can't remember the role). You are expected to base your answers off of the information you read in the first portion. They are trying to assess your attention to detail, customer service, and negotiation skills. For the negotiation part, I would say it's important to pay attention to the table of part and labor costs and reference them in the negotiation. The interviewer conducting the role play will give you some push back here and there, but I think the point more so is to display persistence and professionalism in these interactions rather than displaying knowledge of insurance policies or practices. The interviewer also did a scenario where the client is attempting to collect a payout twice, which you'll only catch if you pay attention to the materials and read fast. I believe you are still able to reference some of the materials during the role play. The interviewer tells you whether you passed or not at the end of the call. After that's over, there's a third phase (mine was over the phone) where I was asked about job experience and soft and hard skills, and given some additional info about the job. I was offered the job at the end of the call. The entire process took about 2 weeks. Unfortunately, because I had some marks on my driving record, it made me ineligible to be insured for a company vehicle and the job offer was rescinded.

I applied online and received invite for screener call with a recruiter. Next step was an online interview with the manager. Then came a long, three week wait with no communication, updates, or even responses to any of my follow up emails to the recruiter. I received no information, feedback and didn't learn I wasn't selected until I logged into the Geico workday job site which then triggered a rejection email to be sent.

      Question 1

Many scenario type questions on how you would handle different situations. A customer is a no-show for your meeting, after waiting you leave to your next appointment as you have a full day. The customer calls an hour later asking you to return and saying that is the only day they can meet you. How do you handle the situation?
