Started the online application but stopped after realizing I did not have the business classes recommended for the position because I am not a business major. Received an email from a recruiter less than a week later encouraging me to apply even without these qualifications which built a lot of confidence in me. I completed the online application and received a phone interview a little more than a week later.
The phone interview was pretty normal, asked if I would take those business classes outside of work, example of when I led other through a successful project, why I am the best fit for the position and so on. I was then called by the receptionist minutes later to set up a time to come into the office for testing. I was surprised by this and was confused if everyone who gets a phone interview does testing but scheduled a time anyways.
My appointment was at 11 a.m. and I left the office around 2 p.m. I checked in, sat down with others around me who looked my age and probably going through the same process. One by one we were called into the testing lab. Throughout the day I did testing on multitasking, personality, typing and a fake sales call. All of it was pretty easy and I knew I was doing well the longer I stayed.
After the fake sales call, the recruiter came into the room and asked me around three questions, so it wasn't really an interview. I was told I would hear whether I was moving on or not in 3-5 days. I received an email 8 days later letting me know I did not get the position.
