Overall this entire process was a huge waste of time. I received a call about two weeks after I submitted my application online. The recruiter went over some basic things about the position and I had a sort of small interview with her. Then we scheduled the “official” phone interview which was a week later. Same recruiter asking me questions along the same lines, mostly what people have already shared on here. Then, after passing this part, I had to wait another two weeks for the in person role play. Let me just say this, I’m not dumb, and I’m a very organized person but this role play is a mess! It’s not that it’s necessarily “hard” per se but it is not an effective gauge on anyone’s skills. They give you a stack of 30+ documents to go over in 30 minutes which isn’t sufficient in the least. I mostly had to wing about 75% of it because there wasn’t enough time to learn everything. This role play is honestly designed for you to fail, they just want to see how much you failed. There was about 5 scenarios, ranging from filling out claims forms to price negotiations to planning your route from a map they give you. The Geico employees who were acting everything out with me were really cool and my recruiter was super nice but that pales in
comparison to everything else. I went into this process skeptical of everyone else’s reviews of this position but it truly sucks just as much as everyone else says. My one piece of advice is don’t count on this position and keep applying to other places throughout this process. Took me a whole month to finally get to the point for them to tell me I’m not a good fit for the position.
