I applied on line and was contacted immediately to take a personality test which was pretty standard. Then I recieved an email asking me to select a time for a telephone interview. I selected the following day at 2pm. At 2:15 pm a male interviewer called me and asked detailed questions about my previous jobs, if I often arrived late at my job and how many sick days I took. When the interview was over he set up an appointment for me to go to the Getzville office to take the skills test. The skills test involved getting information by phone or email and entering the information into the computer. Afterwards tnere was a personality test of about 130 questions that was very similar to the one I took on my home computer. There was another person taking the same tests in the room with me. He said that he thought the skills test was hard. I thought it was relatively easy. I was surprised when he finished the personality when I wasn't even through half the questions. An employee came and got the other guy and I could hear him being interviewed in another room. Another employee cane and got me and asked me what I thought of the test. I said "I enjoyed it" she said "you can apply again in six months, the test will be the same" and she opened the outer door for me to leave. I was suprised that I failed the test. Looking back I remember the directions stressing accuracy, and I entered as much as information asI could without being concerned about accuracy. I will apply again in six months and this time be more concerned with accuracy rather than quantity. All the people at GEICO that I dealt with were very pleasant.
