J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez GEI Consultants en juin 2010
Entretien
Applied online and followed up with going into office and introducing myself with the hiring manager. Was called the next day to come down for an interview. Interview went pretty good, mostly casual conversation. Panel interview which is typical. I was fresh out of college with no geotech experience and it was pretty obvious that they were looking for someone with a few years.

Pretty typical interview process. They want to get to know you more than anything else and may ask a few technical questions. Typical star format interview with varying levels of leadership.

I applied online and they called me for an interview within 3 weeks. I was told a manager and 2 senior engineers will be interviewing me. Only one senior engineer showed up on time and the other 10 min late. The manager never showed up and they didnt even apologize for that (first red flag).
During the interview they only asked me about things I like to do, nothing technical. It felt more of like they didnt know what to ask me since the manager never showed up.
Two weeks after the interview, I sent them a follow up email to check if they were still looking for someone. None of the interviewers had the decency to reply with an answer.
If you are interviewing someone, please, be prepared with a set of questions and/or have the decency to show up and answer emails. That tells a lot about you and the company you are representing.
Thank you for your feedback on your recent interview with GEI. Your experience was not up to our standards and, for that, we apologize. We missed the mark. Please know that we have taken your feedback seriously, have had internal discussions, and are making adjustments. We wish you success in your job search and career.
