Application I was contacted by a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fueled in March 2021. Interview process The interview process consists of 4 rounds with the Talent coordinator, Director of design, Senior product designer (mentor), Managing director. I was contacted through mail by their Talent Coordinator and an interview was scheduled suiting my availability in the following week. The first 10 mins was spent giving a brief overview about the company, what they stand for and what they are looking for in an Apprentice. The interviewer made sure to make me comfortable and keep the interview light as it was just a “get to know you better” round. I was asked about my background and what made me interested in the company. At the end of the call, I was given an agenda about their interview process and the interview ended with a cordial goodbye. The next round was with their Director of Design and I was asked to show one of my favourite projects. As the opening was for an apprentice role the interviewer respected that I didn’t have any live projects to talk about and the entire conversation revolved around my logical reasoning through the UX process and my passion for it. At the end of the interview, I was briefly told about my potential mentor who’ll be interviewing me in the next round. The third round included me talking to a senior product designer at Fueled, it was a friendly chat mostly her talking about the projects and clients at the company. I was asked if I had any agency experience and then we went through one of my case studies. There were some follow up questions during the portfolio review and it was a good way of testing the mentor-mentee compatibility. The fourth round was an informal round with the Managing Director mainly focusing on the company ethos and people’s experience at Fueled.
