I was contacted by Freshworks HR on Linkedin for onboarding specialist role. He said there will be 2 rounds of interview, I clearly told him to count me in if its an opening for Bangalore location only.   1st round of interview- Introduction of Fresh Service product The round went well except at the end they told me we can go for the 2nd round if you're willing to relocate to Chennai. I denied.   HR and Hiring managers should work in sync to bridge this gap, as it involves unnecessary time for candidates to prepare and appear for interview.   HR got back to me after a week for a different product in bangalore office and asked me to start from scratch of the interview as the product changed to freshdesk.   I appeared and cleared the 1st round of introduction and prepared a PPT for the 2nd round where I had to explain their very own product to the hiring manager, time given to prepare was a week.   2nd round went well as per my knowledge but I believe this was due to budget constraint. I made my expectations very clear to the HR before the interviews took place. Yet the hiring manager told I was not good at basic logics and should have invested more time in exploring their product. I mean why would we spend so much of time before we get hired in a company, we need to have basic knowledge and its the company's responsibility to train their staff.   Good points about the interview: The HR got back to me with timely updates and feedback of the interview.   Thumbs down for: HR not clearly informing the candidates expectations (salary, location) to the hiring manager. Candidates have to invest alot of time in registering to their product, exploring it, preparing ppt and solving the assignment of 15questions without any help.

Lazy and unprofessional, they do not respond the emails or schedule the next round for 2-3 weeks and expect you to travel to the company location on the interview day.

Was good, it was easy to clear if you know the product well. Asked me questions related to product to test my knowledge. Overall , good experience. Manager and lead made me feel comfortable throughout the interview call.
