Frequent Flyer Services is hands down the worst company I have ever interviewed with and by far the least professional. The entire process was utter chaos and extremely unprofessional. I first applied September 7 and didn't receive a reply until September 14 from the owner of the company. He invited me for an interview the next week (September 20). I arrived just before my scheduled 2 PM interview and proceeded into the building. I saw the owner standing in an office talking to two people. I stood politely for several minutes before I was even acknowledged. Once he acknowledged me, I was taken to a conference room and advised some "tech guys" would be in to interview me shortly. I waited another few minutes and two men entered and introduced themselves to me. The interview was extremely disorganized and did not provide any opportunity to show case my portfolio, code samples, or anything. Instead, the two interviewers asked me some basic questions about Wordpress hooks, actions, and filters. Despite the disorganization, I felt as though the interview went well and left feeling very positive. The two interviewers advised they had a few more interviews to conduct but the owner would be in contact shortly. I left and waited 1 week and received absolutely nothing from them despite sending a thank you letter two days after my interview. After a week, I sent a follow up on September 28 and heard back from the owner on September 29 advising they were interested. Several days passed and I followed back up on October 4 with the owner asking if anything had been decided. He replied on October 5 and stated they wanted to bring me back in for a second interview and to expect a follow up quickly with a date and time. Again, several days went by and on October 9 I followed back up again asking if we could get something scheduled. October 12 came and I had not received anything from Frequent Flyer. I finally received a poorly written text message from the owner on October 26 at 8 PM at night advising they did not want to hire me because they would have to train me and simply do not have the time. I was insulted by this response especially since my personal portfolio items look better than this company's website and I was told by the two interviewers that they had hired several people in the past who didn't even know how to use Wordpress at all but they turned out to be great developers!
I would avoid this company if you are a serious individual at all. I speak 3 languages, have traveled significant, and have coded for many years. I was never even given a chance to show any of my work and the "lead on" that I got for over 5 weeks was simply terrible. Total waste!
