There were in total 7 sessions which given the seniority of the role is to be expected.
It started with an introduction session with HR, followed by a screening/first impression interview with the deputy CEO. These were followed by two technical interviews with senior members of the data science and data engineering teams.
After this stage we moved to a session about company values. I did struggle a bit with a couple of examples so was offered the opportunity to clarify in a follow up session (something I really appreciated as it shows Freetrade do give second opportunities).
The final session was a panel interview with the CEO, Deputy CEO and three more members of the leadership team. For this one I was given the time to create a presentation describing my approach with regards to solving three problems. It was a really interesting setup and it gave me a good opportunity showcase my experience and thought process but also to meet the leadership team and ask questions about the business.
Throughout the process I was kept up to date and made to feel at ease, all interviewer were on time and asked good questions and I got the impression they really follow the company values.
