I submit my resume online, viz. a posting on Craigslist (for real) and didn't get a reply. Then I reached out to a friend I knew in the office to give my resume to HR, and I received an email to schedule an interview within a few days. After the phone interview (which was supposed ttake 15 minutes but took close to two hours), I was scheduled for an in person interview in their office. The interview was round robin style, with each manager and paralegal spending 15 minutes or so asking me questions. It took well over two hours. I was later asked to return to the office a few minutes later for the senior partner to meet with me, since he had been out of office when I came the first time. For my 3 hours of transit to and from the office, the partner spent about five minutes with me before telling me he thought I was a good candidate for the job, and he wanted to know if I'd give my word on my willingness to give 2 years of employment (at this at-will employer). I gave my word, said goodbye, and was called a few hours later by HR to give me a job offer by phone.
