      Entretien

The first interview went well, and they asked pretty straightforward questions. I did find it a bit odd that they had me do a small task on the spot in the first interview where they had me reformat text with a short time limit. After this interview they sent me a writing task with 4 prompts. They said I had 24 hours to complete it, and I quote "timing is really important to us". Mind you I had other urgent responsibilities that day, such as catching a flight in the evening, but regardless I completed the writing assignment. Shortly after this I had a second interview with 4 members of the team. The questions were mostly about my experience such as my destination knowledge, what tools & software I'm used to using, my prior work experience, etc. It all seemed really normal until they asked me how I felt about working weekends. Mind you this was not in the job description at all, BUT other roles for Four Hundred did specify working weekends. I asked they could clarify what weekend coverage would look like. They said they do a rotating weekend schedule. I asked how many weekends would I have to cover, and they said 2-3. 50-75% of weekends being covered is a very significant detail to leave out from the job description to spring onto someone after not only 2 interviews, but a pretty lengthy writing assignment with a 24 hour turn around time. Since there's a trial for the first 90 days, they asked if I had any big commitments during the first 90 days, and I clearly said no, because I was not aware of the weekend commitment. However, after hearing this, it's really unfair to ask to just not have any big commitments within 90 days and you don't even know what your weekend schedule is/ it was never advertised like this. After this interview, they said I'd hear from them within a week regardless of if I was moving forward in the process or not. I did not hear anything from them until a few weeks later, when I got a soulless canned email saying I didn't get the job. Needless to say, I will never be working here.
