On a first stage, until the process was managed by an external provider, the process was managed and developed in a smooth and positive note. After this I was invited to have a first conversation at Sitel and the experience changed radically.
Shortest interview ever, around 20 minutes, identity mixed (I was confused with another candidate), wrong CV and no corretion of that situation. I was forced to proactively do a quick summary of my CV and only one question was made during that time. After that the salary expectations part was aproach in a rather unusual and pragmatic way, not exploring my expectations but directly putting on the table the maximum salary to be offer. After this was concluded with a simple think about this value and if you want to accept it. Should the company explore deeper my skills and experience in my core activities trough out my carreer? Should the interviewer apologise and print the correct CV in order to follow and explore my experience? If the decision point for the company was based on the salary and if they had a clear number why not do this aproach by phone? Why force the candidate to travel for an interview of 20 minutes that not only started in the wrong foot but that was quickly concluded with a clear this is what we pay, take it or leave it!
