Started with phone screen then emails back and forth with the recruiter. The interview itself was fine and they offered me the job, but at the minimum salary that was quoted to me over email even though I told them I was at the higher end. There is no way they should have offered at that rate. I have over a decade of experience and they offered me 80k and level 2 position when I interviewed for a senior position. They claimed I was a top candidate, but offered a low rate because that’s where I fit within the group of other instructional designers and so I’d have room to grow. I’m a minority male. I saw one other minority (an Indian woman) in the office. I can only conclude that they are racist and wanted to get their EEO compliance rating up.
