Overall the process was very friendly, efficient and heavy on the technical side.
It all started with a message on LinkedIn, followed by a quick phone call with the internal recruitment team.
They were quite friendly and went through the job spec and my experience, to ensure there was enough of an overlap between the two.
The second step was a telephone call with a member of the team I was to join. The person was quite friendly, explained about the role and went through my career experience. Up to this point it was all quite straightforward.
Next was the remote code test in golang. The task was not hard in itself, however, it took around 10h+ to nail it. Given this is a security role, I made sure that the right level of validation was in place, whilst maintaining good engineering practices.
The final round was three virtual interviews. First a code review of what I have submitted, plus a few technical questions. Followed by a more architectural and tech specific (docker/k8s security) interview. And the last interview was with the Head of Security, which was a mix of general security questions (from processes to cryptography).
The next day I was contacted by the recruitment team again, who were great at explaining the feedback and next steps.
The process can be seen as difficult, given the breadth of subjects covered, this should yield a highly technical team.
