I interviewed at the FSI by two agents. It was friendly. I told them I was perfectly bilingual and I originated from a French-speaking country but was an English Teacher and PhD in English Language Teaching. Therefore I could transfer teaching methods from English to French and I was using the Communicative Language Approach in Africa before settling in the US as a Green Card holder. This approach was new to them. They were also interested in my PhD thesis that I summarized in French to them. They told me to wait for a call, which never came.
