I was initially really excited about this role, but unfortunately had a disappointing experience overall. I went through four separate interviews totaling well over four hours, not including the significant amount of time spent preparing. After all of that, I was rejected through an automated email response rather than receiving the courtesy of a personal follow-up from a recruiter or hiring manager. For a company expecting such a large investment of time and energy from candidates, that felt incredibly unprofessional and inhumane. In hindsight, the final two interviews gave a strong indication of poor company culture and how employees may be treated internally. While rejection is part of the job search process, basic respect for candidates should still matter.
