- Initial screener call with recruiter (30mins)
- Call with leadership to chat through experience and project work (2 hours) + prep for this of around 3 hours
- Behavioural interview (1 hour)
Heads up, VERY poor communication from recruitment (Siobhan) with tireless chasing for updates. Initial screener was done late January, the role was then dropped. They then reached out when the role re-opened to re-recruit and second interview took place mid April (took three weeks to schedule). Final behavioural was three weeks after this (chased on several occasions to see if I'd got to this stage). I was then unable to reach out to recruitment to reschedule (I had a chest infection), and carried out the interview quite poorly. Passed this info on to recruitment, no reply.
A further three weeks (last week) I'd heard nothing back, so dropped out of the process to focus on other roles I'm interviewing for. No reply from recruitment or update was given. I did reach out to pass on this feedback to one of the Design managers on Linkedin, who at this point told me I hadn't been successful in getting the role (despite having dropped out!)
Given the time and energy taken to apply, prep (for a hefty two hour session with the team) and endless back and forth trying to sort timings, I would not recommend.
The team themselves were lovely and was great to talk, but my overall experience with Flutter was very poor.
Tip; Introduce a scheduling tool to sort out interview time options - back and forth timings, and slow responses meant I had to re-arrange work meetings and a day off to accommodate.
