Pretty standard and straightforward process. It felt like mostly behavioural questions and while it was a friendly enough interview the energy did not feel positive. I am not sure how to better explain it. Vibes were just off.

- phone screening (vibe check) - video call with two team members (cultural vibe check?) - take-home assignment & presentation The video call was quite hyper-focused and professional from start to finish. Also, a bit strange as they mentioned they would explain the role further to begin but then asked me to dive into my work experience instead? After the introduction, the first question and follow-up questions lasted 15 minutes. I genuinely experienced mental fatigue in the intensity of this question, as I had already provided clear examples to answer the question. Based on the flow of the conversation and the questions asked, I did not feel as though they gave a genuine effort to learn about me aside from my experience. This is a bit strange because they mentioned the role was highly trainable because Flipp uses in-house software. Genuinely not sure as to what Flipp is looking for, culture-wise, as I had expressed enthusiasm and integrated some of their values & principles into my answers. Moving forward, the interviewers should make an effort to foster a warmer environment for candidates. Maybe try to smile or make a comment after asking a question. Obviously, it's not going to be a "fit" if you treat interviews as a chore rather than an opportunity to meet a potential team member. Guess who reposted the job again after 150+ applications were received?
