I attended interview at their new office in Cessna Tech Park, Bangalore.
NOTE: If you're interviewing for a developer role, then better carry your own laptop with proper dev setup. There will be a machine coding round at the very beginning.
I was seated in one of their meeting rooms alone with my laptop. The HR person came and asked me to write Android app for a Tic-Tac-Toe game for a NxN board. This was do be done in 2 hours only. The code should be executable.
I was able to complete the app in 2 hours and then got a call from HR that a person from development team will be visiting me for the code review. The dev team reviewer was much interested in the time complexity and the optimisations I'd done in the coding and less on the UI part. After some 15 mins he said that I'll me moved to next round.
The next (also final round for me) went for another 2 hours. The interviewer was a project manager with good a technical insight.
First up was some regular Android platform specific questions, targeted on the recent projects.
Next up, I was asked to design an end-to-end design for an App, which will have Admin and User privileges. The purpose and the functionalities of the App was left for me to decide. It was more focused on the reusability, extensibility and design patterns.
Next were some Design Patterns and networking related questions. He also asked about HTTPS, Handling delay in response and retries in web service calls.
After the interviewer was satisfied, he'd given me the opportunity to ask any questions if I had any.
