I had an internal referral. The recruiter reached out pretty fast, and my phone interview was scheduled in the following week. I had the phone interview with the hiring manager. It's really just a chat about work experience, nothing else. At the end of the conversation, I asked about next step. He told me that the recruiter would let me know. I was in the late stage of interviewing with other companies, so I didn't really follow up. I never heard anything back from the recruiter. When I got offers from other companies, I wrote an email to the recruiter out of courtesy to let him know that I would not pursue the opportunity with them since there is really no time to go through the process (that was still within the week of my phone interview). And still, there is not a word. It's all about basic respect, and I am not sure why some recruiters don't get it. I would never consider apply for a job there again, and I would not recommend other people either.
