I applied online through an internship website about a month ago and a week or so later I applied through LinkedIn. I got an immediate reply with a task to do. The brief had two tasks in it and I had to complete them within 7 days of receiving it. I did the tasks exactly in 7 days and was waiting for a bit over than a week for their response back. I followed-up couple of times, but go no response. Few days ago I received a negative answer, sadly. Taking into account the time I have spent into doing the tasks I only wish they were more clear as of why they chose not to proceed with me, not just sending me the regular "there were more suitable candidates..." email. I followed-up to get a bit more clarification, but from my experience with trying to approach them, I do not think I will ever get an answer. Overall, the process ran mostly smoothly and looking back everything happened over the course of around 3 weeks.
