Phone Screen - initial call and I didn't need to have any more conversation after that. This human was not prepared at all. Posting this in hopes that someone from Recruiting at FiveTran sees it and provides feedback.

Question 1
The person managing my phone screen had no questions. There was no preparation and he had no idea what the role at fivetran actually entailed. I asked about renewals/expansions and if the CSM partnered with Sales and other teams. He didn't know. Gave me some bogus response about how the culture is such that they encourage close partnerships and then made a comment about how he "couldn't guarantee [I] would be invited to every sales meeting." I clarified and said I wanted to know more about whether the CSM would be executing contracts and having negotiation conversations or if they partner with Sales to do that.
While he looked for it, he asked if I had any other questions. I told him my only other questions were about the actual job and what the roles and responsibilities were and also would like to know about the culture at Fivetran.
At the start of the interview, the first thing he told me about this job was - "this is the easiest role for me to fill. This role is very straight forward. Its the same job you've been doing since (checks my linkedin and references a year I started at one of my jobs). There is nothing special about it. "

I submitted my resume and was contacted by a recruiter for a phone screen. While very nice, he really didn't have much to tell me. He seemed kind of confused about the role we were discussing and said it was standard and I'd done it before so could do it again. I agree, but thought it was odd that the would be so blasé about it. He also couldn't find any of the details he was trying to go over like comp etc. Overall just felt like he didn't care much. Then, I met with the hiring manager. She was very hard to read, but I felt like I answered her questions thoroughly and accurately. There were many times where it seemed she was distracted/doing something else/not paying attention to what I was saying. She repeatedly responded to my detailed answers with "That makes sense". I had a feeling she'd made up her mind before she even joined the call that I wouldn't be moving forward. Kind of a waste of my time but I just think of it as practice. The next day, I was told I was not advanced.
