      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez First Mortgage

      Entretien

Initial recruiter made phone contact from a resume she found on Monster. Told me up front that pay wasn't what she would like it to be but that there were compensating factors which included: 1. A family-run, family-style work environment with a completely open-door policy to all levels of executives (I later learned that this corporate family defines dysfunction). 2. An entreprenurial culture where I could create and grow my position, own and be appreciated for my skills and accomplishments. 3. Commission for performance. The first in-person interview was with recruiter on site. Other execs were to have been at the interview but none were available. I had to reschedule. Second in-person interview was minus one of the executives that was scheduled to be there. It was a panel interview for which the president showed up late. When he did arrive he sat uncomfortably close to me and asked no questions. At the end of the interview he added only that he didn't believe they needed an employee in this role. I left thinking the position wasn't open. I later received a call from the recruiter to return for a third and final interview. I asked why when the president decided not to fill the position and was told I had misunderstood - that they loved me and just needed the final interview to offer me a position. I received another call asking me to give a presentation. After submitting that I had my final interview. In the final interview with the president he asked a few questions, laughed when he said if he didn't hire me his Veeps would rebel and then proceeded to stare at his TV and ticker stocks while half listening to my answers to his questions. I left deciding i wouldn't accept the position if offered. I later changed my mind after another job offer fell through and the recruiter enticed me with a higher commission. After beginning work for the company, that commission was never fully realized because the means to track my contributions adequately were denied to me.
