This was one of the most unique interview processes I have experienced. After the onsite peer interview, it was clear that the role was not the right fit; the hiring manager was professional and provided that candid, timely feedback. It was an honest conversation and allowed for feedback. He also indicated that he thought I was a good fit for the company in some capacity, and that he would circle back with the executive recruiter about what other openings might be available. He then went to his office and brought me back a leadership book and gave it to me! If this is how the company says NO to their candidates, I can only imagine how great they treat their employees. Whether or not I eventually end up working there, I was extremely impressed and plan to take these learnings into my own recruitment activities.
