I was contacted for an interview after replying to a posting on a Job Board. The first interview was with a co-owner via Zoom. This was followed up with an in person panel interview. Finally a third interview with a smaller panel to answer technical questions. The first panel consisted of 6 people. Each person pre-reviewed my resume and created questions to ask in the interview. Very organized. Questions were pre-printed for the team. They used most of the time to ask me questions and I was only able to ask 3 or 4 questions due to time constraints. The last panel was 3 people with a list of 15 technical questions. I suggested that while marketing was somewhat subjective and no two teams would perform the same way. So, knowing how prepared the previous team was in the last panel interview, I pre-created three cases studies to indicate how I would respond in 3 different scenarios based on their targeted clients. Each in it's own folder and REAL companies. I said, I may never answer the way you did but, we may have common ground. They agreed that there is no 100% correct answer and simply wanted my opinion and thoughts process. In the end and after 3 interviews I asked when they hoped to make a decision. I was told within a week. That was more than 3 weeks ago. And despite sending a Thank you card and a follow up email - I have been fully ghosted. Not even a rejection email. I'd like to think that they treat their clients better than their prospects. In the end, I suppose that it was an insight to how the company works. I've been around for a while and common courtesy goes a long way - even if it's negative information. My friends think I dodged a bullet.
