The whole interview process was unorganized and unprofessional! I applied on Monday, then same week Wednesday I got a text at 7pm, saying that I'm invited for an initial interview the next day. Funny thing, she didn't even mention what time it would be or if I'm available, so I had to text her back to clarify. She didn't reply.
The next day, Thursday 8 am, she finally texted back saying the interview was at 9 am, only 1 hour away! I already saw this as a red flag but I decided to take the interview anyway.
At the start of the interview with the HR specialist, she asked where I was working, and said I didn't submit my resume. I told her I did, and she realized she didn't read my email about it, which was weird, because obviously when I applied, I attached my resume and portfolio. Basically, she just booked an interview with me, not knowing anything about me, which is a turn-off because she went in not prepared at all.
During the questioning, she was really nice and kind to talk to, which is good. However, there were still a lot of factors that made me step back. In the job description on their website, it says work starts at 7 am. When I asked HR via e-mail, she said it actually starts at 6:30 am, then when I asked her personally via the call, she said 6 am!! I was so disappointed with this because it should be consistently stated across all platforms, with the correct information.
Finally, we ended the interview in "okay terms", I was up for the next step, which was the technical test. She sent the design test the next day, Friday at 6 pm, and wanted it done by next Monday, May 9, 12nn. That was my last straw, because I didn't want to spend my weekend working on the exam, and May 9 was a holiday, the Philippines presidential elections. I was going to be outside, voting. After her e-mail, I withdrew my application.
Overall, HR was kind but very unprepared. I hope you'll be able to address this soon because I don't think this is how you should be treating your potential candidates for the sake of hiring quickly.
