(This interview was held for the office in Madrid, Spain)
I interviewed with an HR representative and she mentioned how wonderful the team was and that every Friday they had events at their office in Madrid. After that call she contacted me to do a technical test. I finished it and sent it over. Then I was informed that I was going to have a meeting with the person managing the department. I agreed and when I got into the call I noticed they had not only included the person managing the department but also a developer. The developer was really rude and his entire task throughout the interview was to make comments on what was wrong and why they do it differently. The person that was supposedly going to interview me just got to talk towards the end of the interview to also make comments on things that weren't right for her. The developer also told me that they were not interested in really getting together with other teammates and that some people were going to the office that weekend just to work but he didn't want to because he lives far and prefers to stay at home)
I think if you think my technical assignment was not great then it's better not to waste people's time and move on rather than get me on an hour-long interview for no reason. Also, I suggest connecting with your HR team closely to filter better the participants and really take a look at people's CVs.
