I was an internal applicant to this position. Without prescreening, I was flown to interview with a number of my peers, who were definitely not pre-qualified for the job. The interview was with the Market Director, HR Manager, and another senior manager. The questions focused on what I would do to improve sales and operational compliance. The person that was hired was already tapped for the role.
