The process started with a phone call with the CEO. Following this was a call with a Senior technical adviser. These two calls were followed by an onsite visit where I met with 3 or 4 team members all from different disciplines ( not digital design). The interviews were mostly discussion and Q&A about the technology and how it works and what role the ASIC would play. There was some discussion about my prior activities; all somewhat different than this application but mostly aligned with massively parallel DSP hardware implementations. The onsite interview was followed up with 3 more telecon interviews with remotely located team members. The interview seemed very positive and I had domain experience in other areas so there seemed to be a lot of synergy. In the end, I didn't get an offer because I was not a digital circuit designer. Which is absurd because that is exactly what I am including other skills.
